HELPING KIDS LEARN & SUCCEED
We are compelled to address a critical challenge facing our community’s youth – the alarming
number of students who are below grade level in math and reading. From 25%-75% of students in
the Greater Nashville area struggle with grade-level reading and math. Students who face economic
disadvantages are twice as likely to read below grade level. Students experiencing homelessness are
four times as likely to be below grade level in math. And yet, we recognize the transformative power
of investing in education to share the trajectory of young lives.
