211 is a boots-on-the-ground information and
referral helpline that helps those in need
access local resources and services. Our team
of compassionate, highly trained specialists are
available 24/7, 365 days a year to help thousands
of people overcome barriers and address
challenges every day.
In the aftermath of the Dec. 9, 2023, tornadoes,
our 211 Helpline was a go-to resource for those
affected. Launched in 2004 by the United Way
of Greater Nashville, our 211 Helpline now serves
over 42 counties in Middle Tennessee.
