The network provided a path for families at varying
levels of housing stability to begin building a 昀椀 rmer
foundation. Average total assessment scores showed
statistically signi昀椀 cant increases by almost 8 points,
rising from 60.4 at their entry into the program to
69.1 at exit. Families who participated in TFC, even
those who began the program in a housing crisis,
reported gains in self-suf昀椀 ciency and 昀椀 nancial
capability and saw improvements in income,
employment and education outcomes.
Funded partners within the collective demonstrated
or reported their expanded ability to provide quality
services to families because of the resources
and training provided by UWGN and the unique
structure of the TFC service model, including access
to comprehensive services and 昀氀 exible 昀椀 nancial
assistance for families.
Based on data collected from the TFC Outcomes
Harvest, TFC made signi昀椀 cant contributions to
shifts in community relationships/connections and
mental models over its four years of operation.
These shifts contributed to the creation of a critical
foundation for new and continued work to address
family homelessness, as well as a platform for future
conversations about this issue. Speci昀椀 cally, TFC’s
systems change efforts were successful at engaging
stakeholders both within and outside of the TFC
network to map current system gaps, develop a
shared understanding of what conditions create
those gaps and work toward co-creating strategies
to address the identi昀椀 ed gaps.
