RYAN WHITE PART B PROGRAM
We believe being healthy and being safe are fundamental human rights and that
every person in our community should have access to quality, affordable health care.
Together with our partners, we’re building strong, stable and healthy neighborhoods
throughout Greater Nashville and beyond.
Through funding from the Ryan White Program, we’re helping those living with
or affected by HIV/AIDS receive essential support and services. The Ryan White
Program addresses critical social determinants of health by supporting essential
programs for rental assistance, nutritional supplements and transportation services.
This grant, operated in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Health and
together with funding from the Centers for Disease Control, helps United Way of
Greater Nashville serve more than 7,000 individuals in 95 counties across Tennessee.
We work with community-based clinics and care providers to link individuals to
medical services, dental care and vital supportive services like mental health and
chronic disease support so they can live healthy, productive lives. Through testing,
education, referrals and connections to HIV prevention and care services, we can
address health-related disparities that can help reduce HIV/AIDS-related morbidity
and mortality for vulnerable Tennesseans.
