ST. MARY VILLA, one of Nashville’s oldest child care centers,
partnered with Renewal House, a local residential facility
supporting mothers recovering from addiction, to build a
new child care center on the Renewal House campus in
North Nashville. Funding came from a collaboration between
St. Mary Villa United Way of Greater Nashville’s $5.5 million
COVID-19 relief funding aimed to support child care centers,
and a Child Care Hub Grant from the Tennessee Department
of Human Services. The new facility is expected to open in
2025 and will be the 昀椀 rst new construction built through
the TDHS grant program in the entire state.
